What we collect

When you contact us. If you use the enquiry forms on this site, they don't send anything to us directly. They open WhatsApp on your device with a message already written, and nothing is sent until you press send. That message can include your name, who the care is for, your postcode, a phone number and anything you choose to write. We also receive whatever you tell us by phone, email or letter.

When you visit the site. This website doesn't use cookies, advertising trackers or analytics. Our fonts and images are served from our own website, so your visit isn't shared with Google or other third parties. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, processes basic technical information such as your IP address to deliver the site securely and protect it from attacks.

How we use it

  • to reply to your enquiry and arrange a free assessment
  • to handle referrals from social workers, the NHS and other professionals
  • to respond to job enquiries
  • to deal with complaints, concerns and safeguarding issues

We never sell your information or use it for marketing without your permission.

Our lawful basis

We use your details to respond to your enquiry because it's in our legitimate interests to do so, and because you've asked us to take steps before possibly entering into a contract for care (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(f) and 6(1)(b)).

If you tell us about someone's health or care needs, this is special category data. We use it only to plan and provide health or social care, under UK GDPR Article 9(2)(h) and the Data Protection Act 2018, Schedule 1, Part 1, paragraph 2. Where we have a safeguarding concern, we may share information with the local authority or police as the law allows.

WhatsApp

Messages sent to us on WhatsApp are end-to-end encrypted and are also processed by WhatsApp (part of Meta) under its own privacy policy. We copy anything we need for your care into our secure care system and don't use WhatsApp to store care records. If you'd rather not use WhatsApp, please call or email us instead.

How long we keep it

If your enquiry doesn't lead to care or a job, we keep your details for up to [12 months, to confirm] and then delete them. If you become a client or a member of staff, we keep records for the periods required in health and social care and employment law, which we'll explain to you at the time.

Who we share it with

Only people who need it to help you: for example your local council, GP, district nurses or the NHS when you ask us to or when your care requires it, and our secure IT providers (such as our care planning system, Birdie, and Microsoft for email). They may only use it on our instructions.

Your rights

You have the right to ask for a copy of your information, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to have it moved to another provider. Contact us using the details above and we'll respond within one month.

If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, please tell us first. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
